Ben Thompson
President, Project & Development Management

Mr. Thompson is the President and Team Lead for Project and Development Management with ArchéspacePM. Before starting ArchéspacePM he was the Team Lead and Vice President of Project Management & Operations for all East Bay properties with Sun Microsystems through Jones Lang Lasalle.

Previous Experience:
Mr. Thompson was a Vice President and Team Lead for Project and Development with Jones Lang Lasalle. He was Team Lead for all East Bay properties for Sun Microsystems. Mr. Thompson’s team facilitates all work between building management operations, associated contractors, and vendors currently executing work under a project management contract.

Mr. Thompson has completed multiple assignments for Sun Microsystems, including the 90,000 s.f. facelift in Milpitas, CA; the 50,000 s.f. Milpitas manufacturing facility; the 150,000 s.f. Phase 1 and 2 of the Newark, CA 10 manufacturing facility; the 60,000 s.f. first floor build-out of Newark, CA 10 Phase 1 and 2; and a roof screen upgrade in Sunnyvale.

Along with his work in California, Mr. Thompson has completed several major assignments in Beaverton, Oregon for Sun Microsystems. This includes a 20,000 s.f. retrofit of the manufacturing floor and a 30,000 s.f. reconfiguration of office space in Beaverton, Oregon. In addition, Mr. Thompson has completed demolition and a 50,000 s.f. build out, which includes a data center with a customer visitor center on the ground floor of the Sun property in Oregon.

Mr. Thompson has worked with other project managers to develop and execute the asbestos abatement plan for Continental Bank (Bank of America). He has also supervised the sprinkler retrofit and exterior renovation of an occupied bank property.

Prior to starting ArchéspacePM, Mr. Thompson was employed by Jones Lang LaSalle and Lawson National Distributing Company as Director of Facility Management and the Midwest Sales Representative for Se Fac Hoist.

Gary Wong

With over fourteen years of professional architectural, interiors and project management experience. Mr. Wong has spent the last fourteen years as an Associate/ Project Manager with other well acclaimed national and local firms. His work includes many types of projects such as, but not limited to, commercial, office, institutional, manufacturing, academic, residential, restaurant, as well as land planning and interior design. Within 1 year Gary built Archéspace GWSC and has grown the architecture firm to be Ranked #8 on the Silicon Valley Business Journal's interior design list.

Mr. Wong's client list includes: SUN Microsystems, Solectron Corporation, Xerox, Hewlett Packard, Matrix Semiconductor, NorthSouth Properties, Carr America, Applied Materials, Java City Coffee House, County of Santa Clara, Santa Clara Unified School District, Techmart, and Calient Networks are a few which filter through our vast collection of diverse projects at any given moment.

Steven K. Coulthard

Mr. Coulthard has over 16 years of experience in the identity design, interior design, signage program design and exterior storefront design. Mr. Coulthard has been, and still is, the president and CEO of Coulthard Identity Group and a partner in Archéspace GWSC. He is one of the leading brand designers in the new silicon valley economy starting in the mid-nineties. Within 1 year Steven built Archéspace GWSC and has grown the architecture firm to be Ranked #8 on the Silicon Valley Business Journal's interior design list.

Mr. Coulthard has an expanded client list that includes identity design for Gordon Biersch Brewing Company, Sun Microsystems, 3Com Park, CellMania.com, Hewlett Packard, Station's Casinos, McCandless Companies, Sobrato Development, Synergy Relocations, EFueloil.com, Sam Boyd Stadium, and many others.

His responsibilities include business development, office management, design consultation on all projects and client presentations.
